Doctor Christy Jew is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist who practices family eye care in the Magnolia area. When you make an appointment at her office, you will enjoy an environment that allows you to feel comfortable and confident that you are entrusting your eye care in a doctor who is committed to providing her patients with the most professional comprehensive eye care available today.
A native Texan, Dr. Jew graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics in 2003 and 2005. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2010 from the University of Houston College of Optometry. While in optometry school, Dr. Jew served as a teaching assistant and received several letters of excellence for her clinical performance. She completed her externships in the greater Houston area, and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.

Meet Your Magnolia, TX Eye Care Team:
Sydney was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and raised in Katy, Texas. In the past four years she’s taken classes to be a pharmacy technician, worked as a manager at Starbucks and even applied makeup at Sephora. She has been with Texas State Optical since September of 2018. Sydney’s interest in Optometry began when her brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was caught by taking a photo of the back of the eye. Her passions have always been focused on helping others and now she takes great pride in educating others about how important our eyes really are. When she’s not at work you can find her binge watching shows on Netflix and spending time with family on Lake Conroe.
Olivia was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is currently pursuing her career of becoming a pediatric nurse by starting off with taking classes at Lone Star College. Her passions include helping others and working with kids. She first realized she wanted to work with kids when she started volunteering for VBS at her church. Olivia likes to spend her free time shopping or being with family and friends. She also enjoys playing outside with her dog, Ryleigh. She was previously your local server at Locatelli’s and is now taking a leap to explore healthcare to follow through with her passion of helping others. She has been with Texas State Optical since February 2021 and is excited to see where the journey takes her!
Hailey was born in Manassas, Virginia and was raised in both Virginia and Texas. At a very young age she discovered she had a great passion for helping others. Hailey is a currently Senior in high school in Magnolia, TX. She plans on attending college in the fall of 2021 and then going to medical school. She loves working at Texas State Optical when she’s not pre-occupied at school being an Athletic Trainer or attending extra-curricular activities. She loves to be at home binge watching Netflix and reading books while spending time with her 2 gorgeous dogs Bandit and Maddie. Hailey was only 17 when she started working at Texas State Optical in August of 2020 but has been loving every second of it.
