Our Team

Dr. Christy Jew has experience in diagnosing and managing a large variety of eye conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She also co-manages cataract surgery, LASIK, and PRK. Dr. Jew is also very passionate about myopia management. She is certified in fitting orthokeratology lenses, MiSight lenses, and has extensive experience and knowledge in myopia management.

Dr. Jew enjoys volunteering at non-profit eye clinics in the Houston area and has worked as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

In 2010, Dr. Jew was able to pursue her dream of opening her own private optometry practice, Texas State Optical Magnolia. She is passionate about getting to know the patients in her practice and being active in the Magnolia community. While not working at the office, Dr. Jew enjoys working on various craft projects, volunteering with and fostering dogs for CAMO Rescue in Magnolia, as well as spending time with her own adopted four-legged children!

Dr. Dorothy Win-Hall is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed a residency in Low Vision and has worked with fellow ophthalmologists and The Lighthouse for the Blind, assisting patients with visual impairments from birth or due to ocular disease.

Dr. Win-Hall has also completed clinical research on accommodative (focusing) changes to the eye as we age and was recently an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is happy to join the TSO Magnolia team!

Erin was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and raised in Montgomery, Texas. Besides being a wife and mother of two boys, Erin is an avid reader and loves the holidays.

Erin's previous experience in the optical field inspired her to continue her career here at TSO helping others with their vision needs. In the future, she hopes to further her education to work towards becoming a certified optician.

Taryn was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and moved to Texas when she was 13 years old. Before joining the staff at TSO Magnolia, Taryn was a manager at a local restaurant. During her free time, you’ll often catch her cooking or watching a documentary.

Taryn is currently in pilot school and her dream is to travel the world with her family. Taryn feels strongly about kindness and always strives to make others smile. Taryn is excited to start her new journey at TSO and explore the optical world!

Julissa was born and raised in Nebraska where she began her career in Optical. She moved to Texas in 2005, and after a long run in the banking industry she wished to return to her first calling.

She enjoys helping people with the health of their eyes and seeing their best. When not working, her priorities are her family and her doggies, Primo and Kash. For fun she likes to hangout with her family and friends. She also enjoys movies, reading, cooking and crafts.

Lali was raised in Texas and brings a warm, friendly presence wherever she goes. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her beloved dog, Frankie, and finds joy in shopping trips and quality time with her sisters.

Known for her positive attitude and team spirit, Lali is excited to continue growing professionally at TSO. She is passionate about providing excellent service, building strong relationships with both her team and clients, and contributing to the success of the organization.

With a strong work ethic and a desire to keep learning, Lali looks forward to taking on new challenges and expanding her skills as part of the TSO family.

Emily was born and raised in Winnie, Texas and moved to the Magnolia area to pursue a business degree at Sam Houston. Before joining TSO Magnolia, Emily was a server at a local restaurant.

Some of Emily’s hobbies include riding horses, attending concerts, and spending time with her family. Emily is thrilled about her new experiences at TSO and to grow with the company!
